Christmas At The Farm is NOW OPEN to the public!

We have been hard at work for years to bring a Christmas experience unlike anything The Big Country has ever seen before. Our huge light display is 3 times bigger than last year and will incorporate cool new technology and custom built one-of-a-kind light displays that can be seen no where else. We have built more hay ride trailers to cut down on the wait times and have also added tons of new activities so that families can have hours of Christmas fun out at our farm! Live music, local bands, and choirs will be performing on select nights and we will have a good variety of of food trucks here every night!

There are plenty of activities and shopping opportunities available inside our heated facilities. Warm up with a cup of hot chocolate or fresh apple cider and hop on one of our hayrides through our amazing light display. In the spirit of Christmas, we want to give back to our community that has shown us such overwhelming support through the years. We will be giving $1,000 to two deserving Big Country Families this Christmas season. One civilian family and one military family who will be home for Christmas while mom or dad is deployed will be receiving these gifts. You can nominate a family simply by filling out the form below and submitting it online or print it out and send it back to us via email, fax, or drop it by the Farm Store during operating hours. Deadline is Friday December 13th.

The winners will be announced on December 15th and 18th. We thank everyone for supporting our farm and our family and all of our hard working employees. Let's all remember the reason for the season and come celebrate the most wonderful time of the year...... West Texas style!

Giving Back- From our family to yours

Thank you all for coming out tonight.......

My husband and I greatly appreciate the communities support for our family owned business here at Denton Valley Farms.

So much so, that we decided to give back this year by selecting one military family with a deployed spouse and one civilian family to give $1,000 cash to help brighten their Christmas.

We appreciate our military and recognize what a big and important role you all play in our Big Country community.  We are proud to have Dyess here and proud to be able to share our farm with all of your families so that maybe, just maybe, we are able to make your time here in Abilene a little bit better and give you a fun family outing to come to.

Tonight we would like to honor one family in particular...... out of the 100’s of nominations we received, we have chosen one family to receive this gift from us this year.

This is a family in which both the husband and wife are active duty. The husband is currently deployed and his wife and 7 month old son are here in Abilene where they have spent thanksgiving, will spend Christmas, and even their son’s first birthday without dad here. We appreciate and acknowledge this sacrifice...... and are so great full that there are many other military families like yours who make that sacrifice so that all of us can live here in this great United States of America and share all the freedoms that this country offers.

It is because of those freedoms and capitalism that my husband and I were able to work hard enough to afford to purchase this property and to dream big enough to create Denton Valley Farms and all it has become today. So, we want to say thank you.

So, without any further delay, let’s bring up our recipient of tonight’s gift. B'Elana Williams.

Thank you for your continued sacrifice for our country. We just want you to know that you are appreciated for both your service and the daily sacrifices you make to keep our country great.
